Questions:
1. No artist influenced me to do this piece. 2. My piece doesn't really have a meaning to it. 3. I fine lined the outside of the prints the really make the colours pop out much more. By: Spencer Boyd The Medium that I used was just pencil crayons and a normal pencil. The way that I constructed this Piece is I first got a thin piece of paper and wrote the whole piece on that. I then got a tracing paper and put it between the draft and the good copy paper and traced the draft onto the good copy. I then began starting to touching up things that did't transfer properly. Finally I got pencil crayons and coloured the whole thing. I incorporated one large map of my Australian trip. It showed the different places I went and the different hotels. My piece is representational. This is personally meaningful to me because it was an amazing trip with my family and I got to meet all of my Australian cousins that I've never met before because my dad is Australian. Questions:
A) I used the packing tape transfer, acrylic paint, pencil crayons, water colour, and pictures that I traced. B) I discovered that the packing tape transfer is a very easy and good way to show a picture clearly in any way you want whether it is standing out or just a small side photo, it will always be visible. c) I used the coast Salish designs to separate different colours and designs so that they would not be all squished together. D) My page reflects my personal relationship with water because you can see that the minority colour of the page is Blue which for me represents colour, and it I made it show that after awhile we wont have any water left if we keep using it how we are. This is a picture in the very early stages of my still life. That was the yoyo that I am including in my piece. I used a yoyo, chopstick and a tic tac bottle. I chose those because Those are something I love and use a lot in my life. For the final product I will be doing a very realistic look just like the one of the fruit above. I am using pencil crayon and water just like the piece above, I chose this medium. because there is such variety in what you can do with it. This piece of art was a large inspiration for me because I loved the realism the artist used and the variety of colours they used which I plan on using as well.
Composition: My plan for composing this piece is ,as I said before, to try to make it look as real as possible. It definitely won't fill up the entire page it will be in one area of it. I am going to zoom in on certain parts of it to really show the detail. |
